Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost?

It depends on the plan and on how you sell. Write to [email protected] with what you are building and we will send you a proposal.

How do I get an API key?

API keys are issued by TourScanner. Contact [email protected]: once your access is set up, the key appears in your account and works for the REST API and the MCP server.

Is there a sandbox?

Yes, on request. The booking endpoints on tourscanner.ai are live (real supplier holds and payments), so sandbox access on provider test environments is set up for you when you start integrating.

Can I set my own prices?

Yes. You control the retail price shown to your customers. The commercial terms are agreed with each partner.

How does payment work?

Payments are processed through Stripe using manual capture. The customer's card is authorized when they check out, but only charged after the provider confirms the booking. If the booking fails, the authorization is automatically released.

Do I need to sign contracts with each provider?

No. tourscanner handles the provider relationships. You integrate once with our API and get access to the inventory your plan covers.

Is there rate limiting?

Yes. Responses carry X-RateLimit-Limit and X-RateLimit-Remaining, and a 429 includes Retry-After. Limits are set per API key during onboarding and scaled to your needs.
